Smart Contract Engineer for Ethos
About Ethos
Ethos aims to solve one of crypto’s biggest problems - financial incentives align more with fraud and grift than credibility and reputation. This makes adoption of crypto by the masses challenging as the space lacks a foundation of trust. Crypto is still in the Wild West 15 years in, and we must progress to how modern society operates - where reputation and credibility are valued - to continue wide-spread adoption.
Ethos uses a series of novel on-chain mechanics like vouching, ratings, and slashing to instrument social credibility and reputation. Ultimately these interactions between network participants create a credibility score which can be surfaced in any interface.
The founders are two web2 veterans, who have built and scaled products for millions of users, have experience working 0->1 in startups backed by Y-combinator and Sequoia, and most importantly are ready to make a shift to focusing on challenging web3 problems.
Ethos is currently building its base product and looking for core contributors to help launch sometime in summer of 2024.
